What is the Paddle For A Purpose 2022 Kayak and SUP competition sponsored by Aderco?
Paddle For A Purpose 2022 Kayak and SUP competition organised by Ocean Purpose Project is a combination of sports, ocean conservation and music. This yearly event is a chance to combine sports and sustainability in a marquee event at Pasir Ris, Singapore to mobilise the community, industry and paddling community to be a part of this unique event that began the first water sports race in Singapore to include sustainability in the sports format. Aderco has also been a strong mentor for Ocean Purpose Project in the shipping and maritime sector on biofuels and biofuel additive adoption.
Who is Aderco?
It was while researching how Aderco could improve the fuel efficiency, operational reliability and environmental profile of the North American ice-breaking fleet that they discovered a unique plant molecule with exceptional properties. This was 40 years ago. Today, Aderco’s marquee product 2055G is 100% vegetal-organic, ashless and metal-free plant based fuel additive for marine fuels. Besides contributing to greater efficiency and sustainability It is also the most concentrated surfactant/dispersant, for use in any kind of residual or distillate fuels.
For it’s Asia CSR, Aderco supports Ocean Purpose Project based in Singapore as an association close to our heart in terms of ocean protection particularly for bioremediation (creating bioplastics using native seaweeds and mussels used to filter toxins and capture carbon) and coral reforestation in East Bali. It is vital for such established maritime companies that have plant-based products operationally ready for the shipping industry mentoring Ocean Purpose Project to achieve operational deployment of its plastic to hydrogen and bioremediation projects in Singapore and Indonesia.
